“Out of a fairy tale”

“Out of a fairy tale”

“During my maiden trip to Italy, I stayed in a lovely little village called Capena. It is about a 45 minute drive to Rome.  It was the perfect introduction to Italian life – small enough to feel unthreatening and cozy, yet so near a variety of locations. After an exhaustive search online, I rented a one bedroom apartment on via Marconi in the village center. I was fortunate to have chosen the perfect place to stay.  It was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. Shortly after arriving, I opened the door to my tiny balcony and stood listening to the village.  Occasionally people would walk down my little lane and I could hear them speaking .….….… in Italian!!  So cool.”

“We had a great time. The place where we lived – the former medieval monastery – and the nearby square with an old clock tower seemed to us to be out of a fairy tale.“

“This accommodation is located in a stunning small town that is filled with little art treasures sculpted into the landscape. Located on a hillside as the sun goes down these creative benches and walls all gleam and sparkle.“

“It is impossible to sum up the great experience we’ve had over the last ten days, but Paul, Marco, Vanessa, Enrica and all the others have made Capena a place we’ll always remember.”

“Dear Juliet, Thank you for renting us such wonderful, beautiful homes to stay in during our stay in Italy. They have so much charm and comfort. I think it’s obvious to the residents here that we are foreigners, but they have been very helpful. We appreciate such great accommodations. Thank you again for everything.”

“Casa Galilei provides the best possible holiday experience one could wish for. With dramatic views across the gorge, the house is located in the oldest part of the settlement, on a site that has been in use for some 3,000 years. At the same time, its spacious, cool rooms and, above all, tasteful and modern interior all ensure that your stay will be most comfortable. However, the best part of staying at Casa Capena is that you will feel part of the local community …”

“It was so easy to book the apartment, no hassles at all and on arriving everything was in order. The apartment was centrally located, clean and well equipped. Easy access to main roads and lots of shopping nearby. It was great to be part of the community for a week and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely go back!”

“Loved wandering in the Rocca with the cats every evening. A day of rain turned into blissful sun and we toured Lake Vico, Bracciano and Martignano, visited beautiful Villa d’Este and Gregoriana, the lost village of Monterano and fitted in lots in Rome too –wonderful stay. Thank you so much for making a wonderful week in Italy!!”

“We had the most wonderful welcoming week at Casa Capena that we even extended our stay. Getting to and from Rome was so easy but really we just wanted to stay and enjoy the village life. We have beautiful memories of our 4 year old playing with local children in the Piazza and my mouth still waters at the thought of our dinners at the little restaurant up the road. I look at our pictures of this magical little place so often and only wish that Australia wasn’t so far away.”
